To ensure an accurate sew and book bind i clamped the pages together down the seam so they didn't move and then pierced the holes to which i will sew through to bind the book. I had to make sure the double page spreads were aligned properly and the there was enough bleeds between the margins.
The book has been bound successfully and tied off on the outer seam and a tail left. i have left the tail as i believe it adds character to the book and gives the hand crafter feel that i was aiming for.
