Something to get my head round it

After replying to beth about how happy i am to get started o her brief to create her final year look book i asked if it was possible for her to send me a few samples or her work and what she is wanting to be designed around, so that i can get my head to start thinking which route i could take this before our meeting on Tuesday. Beth kindly responded rapidly with the following images:

This is Beth's logo and branding for her final project. It goes by the name 'Bottled Bohemia' as she explains that it is "inspired by the Sixties Free Spirit Attitude".

At first when she explained what it was inspired by and seeing the roughness of the logo (although is does work for her project) I was a little skeptical wether she would want something clean cut or something that was rough cut to match the style of her range.

She sent over a 'flat' of her range that she could possibly use within the book. as i am not directly involved with fashion i don't know what looks good or what doesn't or what is necessary and what is not. I am sure there will be a umber of images and concepts that i am not familiar with but i will do my best to address these with beth so that the best possible outcome can be resolved.

This is a picture from one of her mid-week photo shoots she had done with her garments. i don't think it is a final but just a sample to give me a taster. It's quite a nice photo non the less and should fit well into a suitable layout once one is settled upon in the coming week or two.

Above are some images of the packaging Beth has used for her garments. I have to say I'm quite impressed. i was expecting having to deal with something hanging form a wire coat hanger with a grungy tag dangling from the collar. This was not to be, the design is really innovative, unique and ties the whole concept up with a sense of quality and finish. Seeing this has sparked my hype to get this brief rolling and to start designed and progress it further.

Again here are some other images that beth sent over for me to have a look at. In this one you can see how the whole idea comes together, with the garment packaging in the bottle and sealed with the Bottled Bohemia branding. Along with the tags the finished resolution looks really promising. with a strong concept and strong photography it only needs a strong layout and design to top it off to be a stunning project. i hope i can meet her expectations and produce something that she is impressed with and thinks represents her work to the up most quality and relevance.
On the down side i only have one little issue (to be honest its not really a downer at all) The photo for her main resolution looks a little bit poor and may need re-shooting. At our meeting on Tuesday i will ask her if we can set up a new shoot to re-take photos of her bottles and garments to ensure we have a string quality of photos through out.
